[...] Phil Hoops reports on some of the Newark Bears’ off-season transactions so far, and points out that moves made now may not have much bearing on the team’s 2012 roster. Chris Rollins, who spent most of 2011 pitching for the Newark Bears, was one of five Camden Riversharks pitchers to throw a combined no-hitter against the Somerset Patriots on Friday.
I don't even see how these franchises can go drawing 1,000 people per game. What is the minimum salary in the league?

I don't see how the league could sustain losing yet another team...six teams seems like a stretch to me considering the fact that four teams make the playoffs.

Who knows what will become of the Atlantic City team. I just wonder if it wasn't working years ago when the economy was in better shape, why will it be better now? I can't see the Can-Am League hanging on much longer unless something changes and attendance picks up across the board.

Could you imagine the reaction in Rockland if the league were to fold, especially with all those residents who didn't want the stadium built to begin with.

No point in buying a team that can't draw fans, particularly in a questionable economy.

I wonder what the long-term future for the Can-Am League holds?

We are very proud of him he has worked very hard at playing his best it has not been easy, hopefully someone from the big leagues will recognize his potential. Very happy and proud to be his cousin.
